Missions
Since 2006, Life Church has been supporting six of the most underpaid pastors in Asia. We believe in “steady and consistent” ministry. This approach to missions is first and foremost to make disciples of all nations. This mandate given to us in Matthew 28:19, 20 is our passion and reason for missions! The joy of giving, providing and feeding the less fortunate becomes an opportunity to bring forth hope and salvation through Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to build strong and healthy relationships with those that God has entrusted to us; evangelize their communities; establish them in local churches; equip them to become strong and effective disciples; and empower and send them forth to do the work of the ministry.

MISSIONS REPORT:

Marriages are experiencing healing and reconciliation.

MISSIONS UPDATE:
From July 2010 – Aug. 2010, a team of students and parents visited the local churches in the poor areas of the Philippines for a 30-day missions experience. Here are a few things that made this year’s missions trip an unforgettable experience:
  1. So many children were anxiously waiting for our visiting missionaries from the U.S. They were met with joy and the whole day was focused on serving the poor children. They were able to bathe, groom and feed one hundred poor street children and their families; supply them with new clothes, shoes, rice, canned items; school supplies, etc. In the end a message of God’s love made the difference!
  2. “Till death do us part” was something Filipinos kept when they would start a family. Times have changed. Families and marriages are falling apart. Most marriages end in separation. Our mission’s team of parents conducted our first Marriage Conference for couples. It was a great success! They had games and prizes and the atmosphere was fun and engaging. However it was the message of God’s love that made that evening unforgettable. With the help of our Married for Life Directors Gam and Baby Lijauco, our local pastors and their leaders are now currently involved in MFL discipleship in their respective churches.
  3. 600 youths packed our venues in two different youth rallies in Quezon City and Ormoc Leyte. Our US mission’s team inspired a new generation of young people to make a difference in their families, community and schools.
  4. Through the help of those that cared here in the Hamptons Roads community we were able to provide financial assistance, medicine, food, vitamins, clothes and shoes to the poorest pastors.
