Who We Are

- We value EVANGELISM because nothing is more important to God than mans soul. His desire for us is to win as many people to Him as possible. Like the parable of the prodigal son, He waits for the return of every lost sinner. We must make every effort to share the gospel to everyone we meet and disciple them to maturity. We must go to our lost families, friends, neighbors, cities and nations. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
- We value LORDSHIP because it is only through our obedience that can please Him. One must whole heartedly submit to His Will and to His Word. Anything we do outside of this is dead religion. If Jesus is not Lord of everything He is not Lord of all. “But in your hearts set aside Christ as Lord” (1 Peter 3:15).
- We value DISCIPLESHIP because we were commissioned by our Lord to make disciples. Disciples produce other disciples that will produce other disciples. It is continuous and exciting. Jesus disciple twelve men and the rest was history. Our primary focus is to minister and make disciples. All ministries in LHWCM are in the business of making disciples (Matthew 28:18, 19).
- We value PRAYER because it is the key to Gods power, protection and provision. We are to develop an intimate relationship with God through personal and corporate prayer. Sincere prayer brings us on our knees and moves the hand of God. We are to develop and grow to be a people of prayer. “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
- We value LEADERSHIP because the ministry must be run with vision, faithfulness and integrity. Jesus is our model of leadership. Good leaders were once good followers. We lead like Jesus. His style of leadership was servant-leadership. Love was the underlying cause of His leadership. We are to train and develop godly men and women to be effective leaders that will influence their families, schools, work areas and communities. “All the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others" (2 Timothy 2:2).
- We value FAMILY because strong families make a strong church. The enemy is deliberately destroying marriages and families. The success of ones career is not as important as the success of ones family. We are to strengthen and build the family through the teaching of God’s Word. As a church family (spiritual family) our goal is to have unity, harmony and effectiveness. There is power in agreement. “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it…” (Psalm 127:1).
